Bollard Music Video

Bollard Music Video

Back in College, Brisky would write lyrics to beats on YouTube. His friends challenged him to write a Grime song with his one friend Robbie suggesting Bollard as the main lyric.

Brisky then came back to them a day later with the first verse which would later become the chorus. Brisky then continued to finish writing the song but soon forgot about it.

A year later Brisky is at university in the dinning hall where Marples Mixing sees his lyrics and offers to help produce the song for a bit of fun, as well as good practice for Marples who wants to work in the studios. Brisky agrees but has no experience and no mic.

Thankfully his friend Cedric has a mic which Brisky borrows. Marple Mixing then helped to record the song in the makeshift “Brisky booth” (which is actually just Marples room) where they worked every night to produce it.

The song went viral within the University halls obtaining 1000 views on YouTube and had the halls chanting Brisky’s name.

Brisky then gathered together four friends to produce a music video where the only cost was buying chicken and a bear mask. James Sabbagh, a lifelong friend learning Film at University, offered to help out and over the Summer of 2019 they produced the music video of Bollard.

It took a whole month to record. Everyone would turn up to the local park daily to get the shots right. The video was finally released and has been a success and is one of Brisky’s top growing videos on YouTube.

Bollard is now a source of raw comedic Grime from the suburbs of Birmingham with a £0 budget. It is Brisky’s first song produced in the dorms of his University.
